WHISKY INFUSED COFFEE
These custom beans are skillfully infused with smoky Alberta whisky creating a signature barrel-aged coffee that stands alone for its intense aromas and the complex undertones of plums, rich cocoa, baking spices, vanilla and oak.
We use single-origin coffee beans sourced from smallholder coffee producers in Colombia, where the warm climate, rich volcanic soil, and high altitude produce the world’s finest Arabica beans.
Our beans are grown by small coffee producers who pick and process their coffee at micro-wet mills and then dry the beans on elevated tables inside solar dryers that provide protection from the rain.
Aging in oak barrels previously cured with premium liquor, adds a layer of smooth smokiness to enrich the flavour of the coffee.
Our coffee is roasted in small batches up to a medium level to preserve the rich oak-aged flavor. This ensures every cup delivers the best aroma of both the beans and liquor.
The result is an infused coffee that exhibits balanced flavour, aroma and acidity with a hint of oakiness.
This state keeps coffee fresh longer. Once coffee beans are ground, the essential coating-oils begin evaporating and coffee begins losing flavour. Besides, grinding your own whole beans means that you can choose the grind size that best suits your coffee brewer.
Our roasting process burns off any liquor remaining in the beans. So, you can rest assured that there’s no alcohol in your cup.
